Our Patron

St. Antony Maria Gianelli was born on April 12 1789, at Cerreta in Italy. He is the founder of the Sisters of Our Lady of the Garden, heavenly patron of the school and source of our inspiration. He is a fascination figure because of the wealth of his humanity and virtues, a famous sacred orator, a great educationist, highly efficacious popular missionary and quality writer. Impelled by an overwhelming zeal, he lived and worked for the well being of the people and greater glory of God. His service to the humanity was noteworthy and his life was exemplary in thought, word stand deed. The Church declared him saint on 21 October 1951. We place our institution under his guidance and care and specially remember him on this day every year.

St. Gianelli Convent School is a Christian Minority Institution administered by the Sisters of Our Lady of the Garden, who have dedicated their lives to God and are committed zealously responding to the need of the times, rendering devoted service in the field of education and upliftment of humanity. Our Institution has faithfully adhered to the ideal of ‘integration’ - striving to bring about a harmonious blending of the spiritual values with the secular thoughts, modernity with heritage, competitiveness with co-operation, technology with humanism, self radiance with social sensitivity.
The school follows CBSE pattern and school promotes co-education and admits any child irrespective of caste, creed, colour and religion. The medium of instruction is English and communicative skills is given a greater emphasis. It’s focus is on the holistic development of the students.
We leave no stone turned to make education more relevant to the present day. Thus enabling the Gianellians stand firm on their feet ready to meet the challenges of the time. In order to realize our vision we commit ourselves to the new approaches in our educational works. This is possible only with God’s help and the united efforts of all concerned, the management, staff, students, parents and well wishers.
